Be part of a bold, creative reimagining of A Christmas Carol
What’s happening?
Mess Up The Mess Youth Theatre and Rising Stars Youth Theatre are coming together to create a brand-new version of A Christmas Carol—completely reimagined and written by Ciaran Fitzgerald.
Mess Up The Mess and Rising Stars Youth Theatres are both inclusive and friendly groups that create safe spaces where young people can be creative, build confidence, express themselves and learn new skills. Mess Up The Mess is open to all young people aged 10-25 especially those who have experienced disadvantaged, discrimination or are easy to ignore including all disabled young people. Rising Stars is specifically for disabled young people including those who are learning disabled, neurodivergent and physically disabled.
What’s the show about?
This is a new stage sequel to Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol.’ Tim Cratchett is all grown up, and has taken over Scrooge’s business. But Tim must navigate his relationship with his disabled identity through a series of encounters with three ghosts on Christmas Eve, which make Tim challenge his own internalised ableism.
